The Court provides free legal form packets with simple, clear instructions for people who wish to represent themselves in a variety of matters. The Court also holds a Court Clinic at the courthouse once a month, on the first Wednesday of the month, from 10:00am to 2:00pm. People are seen in the Court Clinic on a first come first served basis by volunteer attorneys. The staff attorney for the Court is also available to answer questions for pro se parties at any time.

Senior Citizen Law Office
The Senior Citizen Law Office assists seniors, 60 years of age or older, with a variety of issues including: wills and other estate planning issues, health care directives (living wills), consumer problems, medicare issues, etc. The Office also conducts monthly workshops on these issues. Wills and other documents can be drafted by the Office for a reasonable fee.

Bankruptcy Court
The United States Bankruptcy Court in Albuquerque has Bankruptcy Information Packets available for pro se parties. The packets include instructions and forms and can be picked up in the court clerk's office. The sam forms are also available online.

Better Business Bureau
The Better Business Bureau of New Mexico maintains a statewide program designed to resolve disputes between a consumer and a business if the claim is for $7,500 or less. Volunteer attorneys and mediators hear cases free if the BBB cannot reach a reasonable agreement between the parties at a first hearing.

Child Support Enforcement
The New Mexico Child Support Enforcement Division (CSED) assists parents in obtaining and enforcing court ordered child support payments. CSED has a website where a person can download an application to begin the process of seeking child support, find the child support guidelines as well as seek answers to any questions they might have about CSED or the process of seeking child support. CSED has 18 offices throught the state serving all 33 counties of New Mexico. The website can direct you to the correct CSED office in your county.

Children, Youth and Families Department
The New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department(CYFC) investigates claims of abuse or neglect of chldren. The Department can also assist in referrals to services for children. CYFD has offices throught the state to serve all 33 counties in New Mexico.

Consumer Debt Workshops
Workshops are held on the 4th Wednesday of every month at the New Mexico State Bar building from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Workshops begin with a presentation by a volunteer attorney followed by a question and answer period. After the presentation, paricipants may meet with an attorney for a free consultation. Guardianship Legal Helpline

The Office of Guardianship Services is a division of the state Developmental Disability Planning Counsel. The Office provides attorney services for establishing guardianships/conservatorships for developmentally disabled adults. Such adults must meed income guidelines to be eligible for services.

The Bar assists in arranging a 30 minute consultaton with an experienced Albuquerque area attorney in the attorney's office for a $30 fee. The attorney will discuss your legal options and rights and assist in making legal decisions. Appointment are usually scheduled within 2 to 4 days of request.
