  Midwest Community Action Program (CAP)
  The CAP program offers a wide variety of services to the community.  The program can help with rent, utility bills, water bills, mortgage payment and medical bills on a one time basis if funds are available.  The office helps clients complete forms/applications for social security insurance, TANF, foot stamps and income tax.  CAP also has a food program.  Once a month a food box is issued to qualified low income families.  CAP runs the STARS program for single parents on TANF that assists the parent in becoming self-sufficient (teaching job skills, interview skills, completion of GED, etc.).
