Your trial for Wednesday, October 1, 2014 has been canceled. Your attendance tomorrow is no longer required and your panel is clear for the remainder of the week.
Please remember to check the website or the Jury Message Phone every Friday any time after 5:00 PM.
Please refer to your jury handbook for details regarding excusal requests for specific dates. When your panel is called you are required to report unless you have received confirmation in advance from my office that you are excused for those specific dates..
Please remember to continue checking the Jury Message Phone or the website throughout your term-of-service every Friday anytime after 5:00 PM as instructed on your jury summons.
If you are just now reading that your panel is summoned it is too late to request excusal. You must request excusal before your panel is called. If there is an emergency please call the Clerk's Office at 505-865-4639

Please note: We ask that you notify the court of requests for excusal BEFORE your panel is called rather than after your panel is called. If you have not been excused for any particular day you are required to attend jury service when your panel is called.
You may notify us by phone, in person or by email of vacations, doctor appointments, training, work-related travel, school functions, field trips or any other absence related requests as soon as you know about them. We do not require proof of the excusal but we do ask for your consideration in notifying us before your panel is called.
Warning Scam Alert: There have been reports of someone posing as a court employee or law enforcement demanding payment of fines over the phone by credit card. The 13th Judicial District Court will never call and ask for payment of any fines by phone using a credit card. New Mexico law enforcement does not collect fines on behalf of the courts. If you have received a similar call, please call the Valencia County Courthouse at 505-865-4639, notify the Valencia County Sheriff's Office at 505-866-2078 and the New Mexico Attorney General at (505) 222-9000.
